Dumpsters

Board approved a 2nd one which will arrive for next weekend.

The 2nd dumpster will arrive on Thursday morning.

What a great turnout we had for the dumpster last weekend, it was full by 10 a.m. Saturday. It is unfortunate that some people are abusive, as the dumpster was loaded to overflowing (this will cost considerably more as there is a hefty fine for doing this as was indicated on the sign), and some neighbors just left their bags on the ground, which hopefully they will come back to clean it up.

The dumpsters are provided by the Ponderosa Park Association free to everyone in the Park. It is not a right or a privilege. It is very obvious that many people enjoy the services that our association provides. Our only source of revenue is dues. If you used the dumpster, pay your dues.  $20 is not a lot for all the services provided.

We are strictly a volunteer organization, but if we are to continue to provide even the few things we do, we need more volunteers and members. It is not that much and not that difficult.

Non-members are strongly asked to be members.

The dumpster is to help with fire danger.
Only for pine needles and slash from property cleanup.
Please don’t use this for garbage removal.

We all try to jump in and help!

Each year we get one or more dumpsters for brush removal.  Notices of the timing of them will be on this website.

The dumpsters are far more expensive than they used to be. What used to cost $500 is now costing $1,500. Also, there has to be supervision with the dumpster.

In the interim, if you need help with getting stuff over to the transfer station, please let Mike Brockert know.

If you are heading over to the transfer station, and have room for some extra materials to help out a nieghbor, please let Mike Brockert know.

The City of Prescott Transfer Station is located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road, just north of Prescott Lakes Parkway, off Highway 89. For any questions regarding the Transfer Station please call 777-1116.
